It’s couch nap season in my living room; they tend to end the same way.

Not At All Bitchy: Aunt Margaret

Thanks to Aunt Margaret, who hung out with us for three weeks while Owner was away, and one more week back here in Brooklyn so we could celebrate birthdays! (We are the same sign, sister!) We will miss you, even if you did get heat rash and try to blame it on us. (Told you we did not have fleas ANYMORE!)

As mentioned yesterday, we love sidewalk water bowls for sticking our hot little snout in. Here’s the action on Underhill Ave at 8 am.
Our First Infestation: Itchy and Bitchy

Here on Raleigh Pop, you may have noticed the constant tension between city living and suburban living. On the one hand, Brooklyn apartments are small and the city seems completely devoid of foxes to hunt. We were getting into out stay in the country, until…..
FLEA INFESTATION 2010 :: Suburbs: 0 City: 1
(Is that score confusing? We meant the suburbs has them and the city does not. We are not very good at sports. Have we mentioned our total failure to fetch a ball. EVER? Don’t even get us started about all the time you people are spending tweeting about world cup. Oy)
Fleas never happened in the Brooklyn! We are not sure what to blame, but word on the street is that this lush, green state is particularly bad for the itchy creatures. We wonder what’s behind this. You might argue that for bitches, fleas are the VD of kennel living. Did we get around too much during our stay at Camp? (more…)

An email from Aunt Margaret to Owner:
It’s fleas for sure. Catherine found one on her and has a few bites, too. Raleigh is still rather itchy. The shampoo I got her has oatmeal in it for her skin, too, since terriers have skin problems.
Feel free to blog about this- I’m sure you have readers who have been fox terrorized by fleas! We’ve been vacuuming and washing dogbeds/rugs like crazy. At the very least, her bathtime pictures are cute.
I’ve ordered the “Advantage” flea treatment from the vet based on the advice of our itchy facebook friends. We’ve never, ever had this problem in Brooklyn, but I suppose from here on out, it will make sense to keep using this. I’m curious to hear what Raleigh has to say about all this, but she’s still in the tub at the moment…..

Suburban Exploration: Taking the Bitch Out Of Brooklyn

People. Excuse us for not blogging more frequently, but we’ve been busily sniffing out some new environs. Turns out Aunt Margaret is living a more swanky existence than we anticipated and we’ve found the opulence distracting us from daily doggy blog duties. We’ve spent the past two days in something called a backyard. We like this backyard. We want our Owner to buy one for our birthday (HINT June 29 HINT)
