NOTE: Since Rocco is too tiny to type, this post was transcribed by Owner. But it is totally verbatim.
Q: Do you believe in soulmates? If so, who do you believe is yours?
A: I am so excited to finally have the chance to talk about the Lady! I meant to mention her before, but I was sleeping.
So anyways, I just moved here to New York in August, and like most people that leave a lovely state like Texas for the small hole-ish apartments of Brooklyn, I did it for love. My Lady is a graduate student following her dream of becoming a dance therapist and after a long hoooooooowl and some serious soul searching, I decided I would move to be with her.
Ay Carumba!
This city scares me! Loud noisy children try to pet me on the street! The radiator booms like a freight train. And the apartment seems to have some other type of mysterious fast moving pets that are even smaller than I am!
But I am here because I love the lady. And so I get annoyed. Roll over. And go back to sleep.
Here is why she is my soul mate:
1. She feeds me! Sometimes off her plate! (Ok, so sometimes I steal toast. Sorry, lady! But who can say no to a sugar high?)
2. She saved me! I am what you would call a rescue dog. I was used for breeding at a terrible place until I was brought to my new home where I don’t have to do those dirty things anymore. I am glad!
3. She sleeps with me! We cuddle all night long. It rocks.
4. She keeps my teeny peeny from saying hi. (Ok. I know what you are thinking. Gross! Say what now! Woah…. Let me back up to number 2. …. That breeding thing did a number on me and sometimes things happen that I cannot control. She has a trick with some saline and a syringe. This is a family site so we are not going to post photos, but trust us. It works)
5. I spend most of my time on her lap while she types on a laptop. Basically, I am an office accessory. I am better at that than this intern gig, whatever it is supposed to be… I like that she includes me in everything!
6. Opposites attract! I am afraid of the world and very sneaky, but my Lady is friendly, fearless, and outgoing. We are the perfect pair, and that is what I think a soulmate is. I hope every dog friends theirs. Even if that dog, like our boss, is a big bitch.
Note From Owner: Thanks for writing in! If you have another Rocco related question, or even a Raleigh related one, we’d love to hear from you!
Family site my ass!
Aw, shucks!
